Tied and Tempting by Maggie Casper:
Another attempt at a Maggie Casper tale and it was like getting an apple in your treat bag. What a let down. I felt sure that Mira was truly not into bdsm and was only going along with it to get "H.O.T." Nash. For someone who had been 'curious' about bdsm and read about it, she was overwhelmingly naive. The author couldn't sell me on this story. I read it once and tried to read it again for this review and just had to give up. To hard to believe. I just wasn't able to buy Mira's I'm-curious-about-bdsm-yet-can't-believe-the-guy-I-lust-after-is-really-a-Dom thing. If she's unsure and slightly uncomfortable, then what the hell is she doing at a bdsm club?! Seems too much like I'll do anything to get the guy sort of thing. BTW, I liked Nash's thoughts better as Mira was just too damn silly for me.
Tentacles of Love by Margaret L. Carter:
While not technically a Halloween or Autumnal story, it is super weird and fits into the out of this world theme that is Halloween. By the title alone it should be obvious that Blake is packing more than the average man and that Lauren is in for a surprise. If you've read or are familiar with tentacle hentai(click to learn more), then you can see where this story is going. While I have passed this story up in the past, I decided to give it a go since it went well with the paranormal themes of this month. While not a must read, it is a fun little tale, even if alot weird.
Your Treat or Mine by Tuesday Morrigan:
The first I've ever read by Morrigan, this short Halloween tale is full of lust and little substance. Because it is so short, it comes across a part of Amelia, Riley and Vittorio's story. While it'll feel your sweet, or in this case, lust tooth, don't expect much else. An okay little Halloween treat that was too short to pull of the whole shifter and life mate plot, though nice try. This tale would have been better if it was expanded.
Wake Me Up by Caitlyn Willows:
A very sexy, and yes, heart warming tale of time traveling lovers. I enjoyed this tale and its a shame I put of reading this Halloween tale till the last minute! Daniel and Isabelle are both good characters and I like that Daniel was not the over-the-top alpha male Dom type, but a sensitive and caring man who just liked a little bedroom play. Nice tale, enjoyed it immensely.
