Review: I have never read anything by this author before, but Minx Malone seems promising. Helena, part angel and part demon, tends to go into fire rages when she is highly emotional. Especially during sex when she climaxes. So having sex with humans or even angels is difficult because she can not orgasm or she will hurt her partner. Donny, her bodyguard sent by her father, was her first lover and only love. Donny was a demon and thus able to handle the fire, being an erotic sensation for him. Donny left abrubtly and Helena has been broken hearted along with sexually unfulfilled since then. The veil between the worlds is open on Halloween so Helena hashes a plan. She decides to find her father just so she can persuade him to help her find Donny, she is captured by Abbandon. Abbandon has loved her, yet blames his love for her and the time they shared, as reasons for the torture her Lord Regent father put him through. Abbandon plays mind games with her and the Lord Regent plays games with the both. This is a good one time, quick read that is only hurt by the fact that it could have been longer. Just wish there were further stories of Helena and Abbandon.
